![]() 24: A Day in the life of Jesus
New message series
Jesus sets the standard for relationships with a wide diversity of people. He calls fishermen to be in his immediate circle of friendship and ministry. He breaks with rabbinical rules and touches a leprous man during the healing process. He sees the depth of faith of the Roman centurion, himself an authority figure yet willing to bow before a higher and holy authority. He allows a 'sinful' woman to emotionally demonstrate her gratitude for God's amazing grace in accepting her as she was. Just as Jesus saw the potential in all of these individuals, all of these individuals understood the potential for transformation in releasing themselves to Jesus' authority, leadership, power, and, most especially, his forgiveness. Like Jesus, Christians cannot let societal standards be the value on which we base relationships. Submitting humbly to a holy God should change the way we live and love.
