Together we are facing the Coronavirus global crisis, and it’s causing anxiety, discomfort and fear. As a church, we’re working to address these feelings, and we’re continually adapting to the situation.
As always, we will make your health and well-being a top priority, but we also want to remember the words in scripture:
Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
Philippians 4: 6-7
Even in difficult times, we can confidently trust God to work through us to use challenging situations for good. When we fix our gaze on Him, we can be filled with a peace that surpasses all understanding. And when we do this, we can share the love of Jesus with confidence and boldness.
Because passionate worship is one of our core values, we want you to know that starting this weekend, Faith will host online-only worship services until further notice. We want to be clear that no one can “cancel” church, because church is the people of God, engaged in the worship of God and sharing the word of God. Church can take many different forms, even digital experiences. We will provide direct links on our website and on social media, so you can have easy access to online worship experiences.
In addition to modifying our worship approach, we are taking the following steps in regard to other groups and events:
- All community groups, teams, and pathway classes will be meeting online moving forward.
- All children’s and student ministry programs and events will be moving to online learning opportunities.
- All onsite gatherings and events have been canceled until further notice.
Starting this month, we will also be providing additional online learning opportunities for you to connect and grow, and devotional materials for your individual or family use.
Please pray with us as we work together to live out Faith’s vision of inviting people to become fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ.
